To My Fellow Airline Passengers (and Countrymen)

Missionary work is always a bad idea. It has a long and nasty history.
But it is also safe to say that if you don’t know and can’t pronounce the word “hola,” like the woman on my plane this afternoon, you probably aren’t much help to anybody in Central America.
